It always happens before I'm properly awake; I scan through the tv channels and suddenly grow wild with excitement as it seems our television overlords have finally delivered a show I really want to watch - Motorhead! Oh, hell yeah!
But alas, it is only a cruel trick I play on myself with unfocused eyes. The program is sadly not about Lemmy, Fast Eddie & Philthy Animal* wreaking international havoc while blasting metal hurricane assaults on their sweating rabid audiences... No, the actual name of the program, Motherhood, doesn't imply anything like that at all.
Motherhood is no doubt a good thing and probably a wonderful and joyous show - don't get me wrong... It's certainly a more appropriate choice for the Discovery Health channel than anything about Motorhead.
Like Rebecca says ironically when I am savaging some Morrissey or Cure song playing on the radio; Not everyone can be Motorhead.
Damn, is that ever the truth.
* an older line-up, but so what?
