The Fading Summer

For what it's worth, I gave my peppers another dose of fish emulsion today. I mention that not so much that it makes riveting reading but so I have a mark on when to do it again.

What a rotten summer! Horn worms, squash bugs, drought & unbearable heat! It's starting to look like the tomatoes were probably a wasted effort though I painstakingly watered them and examined them and relieved them of leaf-chewing caterpillars. The peppers will winter indoors in a glass room facing the sun in the south. I have doubts that my three year old pepper will survive through the Fall but I will still do what I can to save it. Here's hoping next summer is more productive.
