I had never heard of shopdropping before reading about it in today's NY Times - Anarchists in the Aisles? Stores Provide a Stage, though I recall scenes similar to the practice in the movie Fight Club.
Personally, I thought it was in poor taste to lump anarchists merely trying to subvert the capitalist religion with the sort of creeps who sneak unwanted animals back into the pet store after the trendiness of some goddamned Disney movie fades.
Lest we take too much wicked delight in such a notion, I suppose...
