The three of us all had dreams of ghosts in this house.
As I looked at the bare white walls today, I figured out what this house reminds me of - the Overlook Hotel in Stanley Kubrick's version of The Shining.
I remember telling one of these ghost dreams to my woman & she said that the house essentially was haunted by a landlord who would arrive without notice anytime he needed to get more of his junk out.
Just like in The Shining, there was an entire room with an undeniable presence in it behind a door we never wanted to open. While it didn't have a moldy old naked corpse floating in a tub, it was full of an excuse for the landlord to visit whenever he wanted & he is definitly the type to look it all over, scanning the house for something he didn't approve of, whether he was conscious of it or not.
It was enough that I'd want to ask him if he had a warrant to come inside.
Oh well.
We won't be here for much longer.

I have a ghost...but so far he/she seems to be the friendly type, with only occasional strange noises. :)
I think if we ever did have ghosts, I'd be enough in denial about it that I'd blame the cats for the sliding furniture and everything - at least until I was grabbed by the lapels and told GET OUT! by the stinking death breath of a spirit.
Thanks for stopping by Monty.
Take care of that ghost.
