The March of the Phonies

Where to start?
It's fitting that Rush Limbaugh would find himself caught in the echoes of Michael Moore.

We like nonfiction and we live in fictitious times.
We live in the time where we have fictitious election results that elects a fictitious president.
We live in a time where we have a man sending us to war for fictitious reasons.

For Limbaugh to call any soldiers fighting & dying in Iraq 'phony' is just a small step in his education towards better understanding a completely phony war.
Oh you can definitely believe in all the bombs, the blood, the bullets, the sacrifice and death - all of that is unfortunately as real as this world gets.
What you can't believe anymore is any reason or purpose to all of it - not that there's many more attempts at further shifting the rationale for the goddamned thing. To paraphrase George Orwell, "America is at war with Iraq because it has always been at war with Iraq". See? Case closed.
All of that sacrifice will be in vain if we leave now. The problem is the war has always stemmed out of the towering vanity of inflated cowards & it will never, no matter how desperately the need for justification searches, find anything less obscene for it to further be committed. Now that's what I call phony.

Welcome to your first blinding glimpse of a dim bulb, Mr. Limbaugh.
______________

In other news of glaring phoniness, Senator Larry Craig won't go away. To prove he can still carry bile for the forces who despise him so much they can't figure out his potential token appeal to their bigoted party, ala Julius Caesar Watts Jr., Big Gay Craig voted against the Matthew Shepard Act which expands federal hate crimes laws to include violence based on a victim's sexual orientation, gender, disability, and other factors.

How can such a wide stance appreciate bending over for something so narrow?
