Follow Up

Regarding this post two weeks ago, the results are in - Oklahoma kids in need will receive 50,000 new books!

I'm honestly not sure which book got me hooked though. I loved Dr. Suess and Where the Wild Things Are but I really only remember my mind actually catching fire on topical stuff - so, when I was about 9, I read everything I thought was interesting out of a 1968 Junior Encyclopedia Britannica edition. Disasters and dictators were a real favorite - so many to choose from!

Anyway, congratulations to those kids. I hope they're feeling lucky right now.
